January 20, 2022: With a vision to support mainly aspiring students from the rural areas of the north-eastern region to clear the Indian civil service examinations, the Vision 50 Academy has recently developed various innovative study modules from the secondary level onwards so that students can be groomed right from the early age for the toughest competitive examination of the country.
To achieve this goal of producing more successful candidates from the North East in UPSC examinations, the Vision 50 Academy, which is powered by ERD Foundation Guwahati and supported by USTM, has initiated a Talent Search Examination-2022 (VTSE-2022). The initiative is taken in association with Central Public School Patharkandi and Central Public School Badarpur, both affiliated to CBSE.
The 1st Phase of the VTSE-2022 was held on 2nd January at 35 different centers across Assam. A huge response from students was received as about 10,000 students appeared in the exam, the result of which was declared recently. It has been announced that the position holders will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh.
In response to the enthusiastic students as well as their guardians who have requested for a 2nd Phase of the Examination, the Vision 50 Academy is going to hold the same on the 6th of February 2022 in which school students from class 8 to class 12 can appear.
Addressing a press conference at KNB Women’s College Badarpur today, Mahbubul Hoque, the Chancellor of USTM and Chairman of ERD Foundation said, “ERDF is committed to serve the society by providing the best possible support to the aspirants for cracking the prestigious national level competitive examinations. It will also take necessary measures for creating awareness among the school children particularly from the remote areas of the region. ERDF will also provide financial support for the preparation of such examinations so that brilliant students can avail the facilities and clear these examinations in large numbers who will in turn contribute to the nation building process”.
Shri Hoque stated that in order to give a shape to this flagship initiative, the Vision 50 Academy has planned to conduct a North East level Talent Hunt Examination-2022 for the rural children under three categories to identify the talented students who will be able to prepare for UPSC Examinations simultaneously along with their studies in their respective schools. In the 1st category students from Class VII / IX will appear for Module-1, in the 2nd category Class X students will appear for Module –II and in the 3rd category class XII students will appear for Module-III test.
